Nero Burning Rom DVD burning problem

I have a problem with my Nero Burning Room. Somehow it wont burn DVD. I just bought nero and this no make sense for me. I thought that was the bad media which I wanted to burn it. I can't believe that something is wrong with software. What do you think: is it media or software?

Check is the used format supported by your dvd player. It could happen that your player support dvd+rw and you put into it dvd-rw (not all of players support both). Also, you can check settings of Nero (maybe its checked to burn cd and you forgot to change that setting). I want to tell you that Im nero user and I havent had such problems ever.
