How can I make a bootable floppy for Windows XP? As I remember in Windows 98 there was a tool for doing this somewhere, and you could run DOS when boot from floppy. And I can not find anything similar in Windows XP. Is there some command in command prompt that can make it? Thanks.

Well, with XP this is enabled within format command for floppy disk. Just insert blank floppy, right click it’s icon within Explorer and select format. You will get a window with an option in the bottom that will make a MS-DOS startup disk. And there is one more thing that you can do. You can make a floppy that will boot your system to XP as it would be loaded form hard disk ( as a matter of fact, it will be loaded from hard disk, only initial phase will be started from floppy). This is just for a case that some of important boot files on disk are corrupted or missing. Just insert blank formatted floppy (or format old one) and copy the following files: ntldr, NTDETECT and boot.ini. That would be all.
