Hi! I’m having some troubles regarding the sound on my system – I can’t get it to work properly. I don’t have a PCI sound card so I depend on the onboard one. I updated my asrock k7s8x 3.0 mobo drivers but it did no good. I heard that the sound is the worst part of this mobo but that it should at least be working well enough for a normal user – alas I can’t get it to work at all. I just tought that someone here might tell me where I could find the drivers that might help me solve this problem. I’m a win98 user btw. Thanks!

I had some problems with the sound using the same mobo’s onboard sound device. The problem was just with midi music and it was solved (could you believe this!) by disabling the mobo’s midi port in BIOS. As for your problem, maybe you could just try downloading some universal drivers. Try looking for it on the driverguide.com for example. Or just pay a bit for a proper PCI Sound card and you’ll rid yourself of any such problems.
