Hello, I have a problem about inappropriate internet usage at the place where I work. I will say only that internet connection at our working place is not essential for the job that we do, but I would like not to prohibit internet. What I need is some advice or tip for blocking unwanted web sites on computers. I don’t know is it possible to be done, and will appreciate any useful advice.

Hello. This is what I can recommend to you. If you are using Internet Explorer 6.0 (if not, upgrade) there are some features that help to accomplish some kind of control. Under Tools click Internet Options and select Privacy tab. There you can enter arbitrary web site’s name and set to block or allow explicitly. Else, under Content tab notice Content Advisor and click Enable. Under General tab, uncheck Users Can See Sites That Have No Rating. Under Rating Systems, you can find and manage ratings of sites that you want to implement on your computer. This is for the beginning, worth of try. Another useful tool would be firewall program where you can block unwanted ports and protocols, hence block chat, mail or whatever on the level on computer if such installed programs are problem.
