NIC Card suggestions for new network

I want to create a new network and I’ll be needing a NIC card. Can you tell me which manufacturer and model to choose? I’d like a reliable and affordable card, and it would be nice if you would share your experiences with networking cards. I also don’t know whether it has to be compatible with other hardware. Hope I will find the right model.

You can buy a wireless NIC. I’ve always thought that cables and wires are unnecessary complications, and I think this is the perfect solution. I’d suggest you to pick Linksys WMP 11 card. I think it’s good and you’ll be satisfied. It has the ability to reach the speed of 11 Mbps and its operating range is about 1500 feet. Just be careful about hijacks, because wireless networks are very susceptible to that. I know that there are certain measures to protect your privacy. I know that when you use wireless internet connection it’s better no use manually set static IP address. There are also ways to protect your network form intrusions.
