I use Norton Antivirus program for my PC protection and recently I saw Updater program that is different than usual NAV Update. I would like to know in what way is it better than the one I use and do I need it at all? Does it make update for Norton go faster?

Hi, I don’t use Norton Antivirus, but according what I saw it is functioning like this:
LiveUpdate is Norton utility that is used to update definitions and install it regularly and it is pretty functional. It is used with different Symantec programs and basically older editions are updated via Live Update weekly, and newer ones like Norton Antivirus 2006 are updated daily. The utility you saw must be Intelligent Updater which is used to enhance update process, for example older versions of antivirus are updated daily instead of weekly. As I understood if you use something new like NAV 2006 you will have no particular use of it. Good thing is that you can use both of them at the same time, but I don’t believe you will need something like that.
