My PC got infected with a worm??

Hello. I think my PC has got infected with a worm. But my antivirus program didnt register it. Later, when I did an online computer scan for warms, it appeared. Is this possible? Did it happen to someone else? In what ways do the worms effect on computer? What are the most efficient ways to remove them from the computer? Thanks.

Well, hi. The worms are often pests on the internet. You didnt tell us which worm you had caught. It is possible that your anti-virus program didnt detect it. You have special programs for detecting viruses. Again, you shouldve told us which anti-virus program you have used. Many people use Avast anti-virus for worms also. Avast quarantines them, so they can do no damage to the system. I can tell you more details, but first let me know what anti-virus program you are using. Also, let me know which worm youve caught.
