| Hello. I was trying to update my BIOS to a newer version. And I did that just well. Now I got few more options and the most important one I wanted, the ability to boot up from my flash drive. But, now my computer works as a turtle! It is so damn slow! What happened? What could happen, I did try to fix some things inside but with no success. Help! |

| Great you did your job well, by the way. Now, almost any BIOS series are set to fail-safe options after flashing. You said that you have tried to change some options inside the BIOS, but you still have the problem. Ok than. If your hard drive was set to work in PIO instead of ULTRA DMA 5 or 6 mode, swich that from PIO to DMA. Second thing that could be connected with slowing down from BIOS, is reduced CPU frequency. So the result is the speed loss. You have to set that to corresponding normal. How much fast your processor is? You can check one more option and that really can slow down the entire system. Check the second level data cache. Which one is set? Enable or Disable? That one must be Enabled. |
