I think 1.1 was released in summer 2002, that is about 4 years ago, time is flying in IT. You can find information about 1.x releases at Mozilla site along with links to installation packages. I never knew there were that much versions. 1.1 is listed under older versions, that is, along with all the versions before 1.4. There were plenty or improvements in 1.1 as I found. It could call windows dial up networking to establish a connection in a difference. Funny thing. My Opera that I love very much is still not capable of doing that.
