Hello everyone! Since my old HDD has only 40GB I have bought a new one, in order to have enough storage space for all my movies, music and other stuff. Now, this 40GB drive is still ok and it’s functional I’d like to give it to my brother, but I’ll first have to move all the data, because I wouldn’t like him to see what I collected there. How to do it fastest?

There are numerous ways to move the data from one drive to another. I haven’t done it for over a year and I suppose that technology is much more advanced now, but maybe you can just connect the two drives and do “move files” procedure. That way you’re going to be safe, since if you just coy files ands after that erase the content of the drive, there is the possibility to recover the content of the drive by means of certain programs. But if you move files from one to the other, I’m almost completely sure that no file recovery program can manage to get files back and you’re safe. But as for the speed, it all depends on your memory and processor.
