I need to move a current-version of Invision Power Board. I have already come up with some issues I might have with it. First of all, I need to transfer all the data from one board to another and I was wondering if there are any hidden files I should take care of? Also, will I have to change the paths manually? Will the old members to have to register again ? Maybe someone here knows where I can find an F.A.Q. for this? Perhaps Invision's staff could transfer it for me? Thanks in advance!

I think that all you have to do is transfer all files and tables in the database and then, change the respective settings in conf_global.php. In the end finalize all paths and URL's in the General Configuration panel of the ACP. Still, there might be a few problems but I don’t think they are of big importance. For example, the smileys in the old posts won’t work. And the links in the old posts that lead to older posts also won’t work. Oh, and I just remembered, don’t forget to change your cookies!
