I have bought a new computer recently and I would like to move Yahoo Messenger archive from old computer to new one. There is over a yea of different conversations stored there and I can not afford to lose them. Can you explain me the process of moving Yahoo archives from one to another computer?

Yahoo instant Messenger archive is located in "C:\Program Files\ Yahoo\ Messenger\ Profiles\ User_Name\ Archive\ Messages" folder (if YIM is installed in default location). You will have folder like this for every person you have chatted with. In this folder are DAT files that represent communication you have with this user for a single day, so it might be many DAT files in every single folder. You should manually copy this DAT files to appropriate folders on new computer (this means you will have to create contacts exactly the same that you have created them on old computer).
