| I have installed Service Pack 2 on existing Windows XP installation and after experiencing many problems I have decided to uninstall it. Windows said the process finished correctly but I am having problems with monitor now. I can not get screen resolution bigger then 640 x 480 with 256 colors. This is totally unacceptable and I would like to know how to fix this problem? |

| Installing service pack 2 on existing Windows installation is not a good idea (as you found out) no matter what people from Microsoft say. It can create many problems and uninstalling it creates even more problems. I would say that you have a problem with video card here and not with monitor. Reinstall drivers for video card and I think you should be fine then. |
