I had a computer for a long time. Last week I got a new laptop as a present. When I try to hook up my web camera on it, I found out that its mobo lacks required slot or port for that. Is it possible that laptop has no port for webcam?

You did not specify what port exactly your web cam has. Personally, I do not think that your laptop does not have the port for your web camera, unless it is not some really rear standard. Anyway, you could find any additional port for your laptop in PCMCIA format. There is another possibility. Your laptop may be of sublaptop type. For those kinds of laptops, heaviness is the priority, therefore manufacturers take off everything that is not necessary for functioning. Those laptops have an extra part, which is called a docking station. It has all the ports and optical devices on it. You just need to hook your laptop to it and I think that would solve your problem.
