My MoBo is a bit older and since I can’t afford to upgrade it now I must think of something to enable it for using certain advanced software. Can this be solved if I download new drivers from the manufacturer’s site or something like that? What can be achieved by this? Is it possible to update its functions at least a little?
To be honest, I don’t think that you can do much with just downloading and installing newer drivers. In order to fully upgrade your PC, you really need to buy a new motherboard. I know that you said you can’t afford a new motherboard, but in my opinion it’s better to at least try to find a reliable second-hand dealer and get a better but used motherboard for less money. That way you wouldn’t have to think whether a certain piece of hardware or a program is compatible with your motherboard. I think that this way you only enable certain features that are not important that much. It’s not like your motherboard will have improved performance.
