Is it advisable to mix old and new HDDs? I have just bought a new HDD, but since my old HDD is still working fine I wouldn’t like to remove it. I’ve run a program to scan it for bad sectors and it doesn’t have any. I’m just wondering if the fact that Windows is on the old HDD won’t cause problems. What do you think?

I think that you’re making a mistake. The fact that your old HDD is still working normally and that it has no bad sectors doesn’t mean that it’s completely reliable. So my advice would be to back up the files you have there and to copy all the important data on your new HDD and after that to delete all partitions, create new and partition everything. Of course, you should install Windows on your new HDD. After that the reliability of your system would increase significantly. And use the old HDD for movies you plan to watch or to store some music that you like to listen. But have everything backed up properly. And I think that mixing old and new HDDs won’t have any negative effects.
