Hello. I had 256 mb of ram on my old PC. I have somehow founded another brand new PC 133, 235 mb SDRAM memory. Now I have plugged it into a ram memory slot, and there is only 378 MB. There is 128 mb missing. Why? Where are 128 mb more? It is written 256 MB on the memory chip it self. Thanks in advance.
There are low and high density Ram memory modules. And there is nothing you can do to enable all amount of ram, because of your motherboard. You mobo does not support high density RAM modules, which your new ram is, I can guess. You can try to find other motherboard with greater capabilities or to search more for the proper and compatible ram for your motherboard.
