| Hello. I am administering a small network in one company. They have application made in Access 2000. This database is on server and five clients are opening it and working simultaneously with it. Everything worked fine until they purchased new computers with Vista preinstalled. I have set up network and everything but now this application stops responding when second user connects on it. It can only work in a single user mode. This problem is very urgent to me so I hope you will find time to answer me as soon as possible. |

| This is one of many strange behaviors of older applications on Vista. Microsoft is aware of this bug and they have made a hotfix which is available for download. Applying this hotfix will solve your Microsoft Access 2000 database problem. Bear in mind that this hotfix is not thoroughly tested and that you use it only if you experience problems you described. There are other problems with Access and Vista that this patch can not solve. To download it go to Microsoft web site and search for knowledge base article ID 935366. |
