I know a place where you can find instructions. It is a site, as I read, managed by enthusiastic guy since 1997. and dealing with problems such as yours. There you can find keys that might work, I think I saw and XP KeyGenerator. The guy claims this to be a legal job (as CD keys are neither copyrighted nor trademarked, he says) but anyway this site is constantly moving. They are mentioning 131 locations so far. So, best way to find it is to use some search engine and type Microsoft CD Keys.
