Hi! I think I always had problem figuring out what goes with what in my life. Now I am adding another area in which I will be Alice in wonderland, and that is computers. I had 1GB RAM I added 1GB more and now it is not showing me that number, stuck with old 1GB. Plus I don’t think the other parts are working with that new addition perfectly. Could anyone explain to me all the possible memory confusions that could appear? At least what comes with what, how high I can go etc

Huh too big questions for me. First I hope you upgraded with the same one so no mismatch in RAM area. I can only lead you through general step. Grand rule; Motherboard - Processor-RAM must be compatible! Well it is allowed to mismatch,
but then be prepared of possible appearance of problems because you won’t be getting top performance out of your PC. Why you are not getting the right number is caused by some motherboard limitation or BIOS issue I guess. But then again I can‘t tell you anything more on this matter cause you haven’t shared the specs of your PC system, so don’t know what is blocking what in that case and why computer not functioning like it suppose to.
