I bought a Memorex Optical Scrollpro mouse about three months ago and had no problem with it at all until yesterday. It suddenly just stopped working and the light at the bottom went off. I cannot see it in the ‘Device Manager’ at all anymore. I have no idea how it came to this since it just happened while I was clicking on the WinAmp’s ‘play’ button. Since I’ve already downloaded the drivers using Windows update option before, I am unable to do it again. What do you think I should do? I have my old mouse hooked up now so it’s not that urgent but I would really like some help!

You might want to try reinstalling the USB drivers. They should be on the disc you got with your motherboard. If you can’t find that CD then you could probably download the drivers from the manufacturer’s site. I’m not sure, but this might be tricky if you’re using XP since MoBo manufacturers tend to have only Win98 and such drivers on their site nowadays. If none of the previous help, then you should probably try the ‘Restore’ option if you’re using XP.
