I’m not satisfied with the image quality of an X-Vid movie I just tried to play in Media Player Classic. Generally, I think this program is super but for some reason it doesn’t work well with this type of file. Should I perhaps set Output settings differently then they are now? (Direct Show Video:VMR9 renderless (use texture surfaces and render video in 2d; RealMedia Video/QuickTime Video:DirecX 9 Or should I try using another player?
I think that Media Player Classic is really great and has loads of different settings you can try. Anyway, I keep my settings the same way as you wrote but I make some changes when it comes to filters and codec. You can access ‘Filters’ menu when you rightclick the Media Player Classic window while it’s playing a movie. I think that by choosing FFDShow filter, you should get rid of any kind of problems you might be having with MPC.
