| Hey there. I have a problem, or at least I think I do. I work in a small local newspaper, and we have a network with all the PCs connected. I send my every article to a place mapped on a network, and my editor checks it there. But, few times, my several articles disappeared, as well as some documents from my HDD. Could it be there are some malitious users on network? How can I check it? |

| Hey there! I do not know if there is a way that you can determine who is erasing those files, and somebody probably is but, you can protect files on your HDD. First, check which folders of your HDD are shared, and keep your articles in the folders that are not shared. You can even lock them, for a better protection and keep back up on some external drive. As for the files in mapped network folder – you should contact your system administrator and explain him your problem. He needs to check the priorities he gave to users, and leave the possibility to erase files in that folder just to the person who stored it there. And the editor, of course |
