| Hello. I am willing to adjust my Internet Explorer browser more than usual. In fact, I want my browser secured and usable at the same time. I had problems with my system, so I had to perform clean install. Now I want to set all things up to the maximum performance and stability, and I would like to start with the Explorer first. Anyone has some tips about? Thanks in advance. |

| Hi. There are a lot of tips for Internet Explorer everywhere, but no matter how reliable it can be, Mozillas popularity grows from day to day. If you are using SP2 than dont disable Windows firewall at any time. It is always smart to use one more firewall as desired antivirus beside integrated protection. Next things you should do inside the internet options (control panel). Lower your internet history days from 20 to 5 for example. Under the temporary internet files, click on settings and tell explorer to never check the newer versions of stored web pages. Also, from there you can frequently delete the history and TEMP pages. Under the security and privacy options you can change the settings for your own. You can make explorer so tight and secured from there, that many pages wont be able to open. One important thing... You should keep in mind that explorer is very vulnerable on ActiveX content. But, no matter what you do, remember that you cant be safe without firewall, enabled. |
