Is it possible to make two separate bootable discs on the same hard drive? Like, if I want to install Windows and Linux together, for example, with a prompt at startup for which system I want to load? Or do I absolutely have to partition the HDD first? Thanks in advance,

As far as I know, yes, you will need to partition first. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you can do it any other way. Why wouldn't you want to partition, anyway? If it's size that concerns you, some systems take up a relatively small space, so it's not likely to be an issue if you don't use the partition for anything else.
