Hello. I am still learning some basics in Excel, and I am stuck with something. I don’t know the way how to change the date/time formatted cell to number, quickly and Vice – Versa. I need this action from time to time, and I am confused how to automate this. Should I try with some Macro, VB script or there is simpler way to do this, with some formatting trick? Thanks in advance.

Hello. There is a simple formatting trick. Select the desired cell, predefined to display the date and time. Than just press ctrl + ;. This will automatically add the date in the cell. If you want quickly to change the date format to number format, than select that cell again and just press ctrl + shift + ~.
