Hello! What Mac model you are using and what OS you have? Are you having problem with every open/save action, or that just happens with some particular programs? I am not going to claim that reasons that I will mention right now are 100 true, so collect more opinions from other posts in here. I was getting crash performance when I tried to open some music files with Winamp player couple of times. Once it was virus making fuss, second bad installation. Well OS could be the reason that is bugging your Mac, at least one of them. You really need to describe things with more words so I could get much better picture of your problem
