MS Word is not opening now

I have upgrade from Windows 98 SE to Windows XP Professional. I have uninstalled some unrelated programs after that and I can not open Word anymore. Every time I double click on Word icon I receive error message that Word has caused an error in vbe6.dll. Is there any help regarding this problem. Best regards.

This is a know issue with Word. Word will not open and generate such error if vbe6.dll is corrupted or if you have Norton AntiVirus 200 or 2001 installed. Uninstall Norton products and repair Office installation or just reinstall it. This should solve your problem with MS Word refusing to open. Have a nice day.
