Hi there. I am facing a problem with my PC that I am not able to manage and my husband is away for a month so he won’t be really able to help me fix it. So, I will have to do it myself. I was experiencing problems with my MS Office 2000 and constant crashes. I decided to repair it but it keeps saying some .msi file is missing. How can I solve it?

This is a common problem and I think you can manage solving it yourself. It happened to me too; I couldn’t update, install or recover my MS Office because the .msi file was missing. It is not exactly a file; it is more databases of the files, configuration information and the settings for the application. After the installation the file is saved in a hidden folder, and is now probably missing because it got deleted somehow. You should use the original Office installation CD when trying to repair it, and then you should use detect and repair option in your Office. I think this would do the job, because it will replace damaged files.
