I’d like to rip my audio CDs and store the music in the form of MP3 files. I’d also like to encode MP3 files into audio files so that I can listen to them via the ordinary audio CD device. Since I need both operations I suppose that I must find software that supports them. Is MP3 En-Decoder good for this kind of thing? Has anyone used it?

As far as I know you can rip your audio files even with Windows Media Player. I’m not sure whether the quality will be 320kbps, but I suppose that you can install codecs which will enable that. I know that Lame Codec should be installed for higher quality ripping, but I don’t know for which application it is used. There are applications such as MP3 Ripper and numerous free for converting audio files to MP3. Many of them support the reverse process and you can convert MP3 files you want to the audio files. I always stick to Windows applications and I seldom install other versions of software that is integrated into the OS, so that if I were you, I’d do it with WMP.
