Hi, all. I have a problem with Outlook Express and attachment files. Whenever I try to attach a fairly large file to a message, or to paste something in from the clipboard (say about 2 MB+), Outlook shows the "Out of memory or system resources" message and refuses to comply. I try a couple of times, then give up and shut it down. When I restart, all the attachments are in there, some multiple times (depending on how many times I tried and apparently failed to attach them). How can I be out of memory or resources when I have a Gig of RAM and plenty of free space on the HD? How do I resolve this error?

This message can pop out for a variety of reasons. One of the most common ones is having too many stored messages in OE folders – delete your junk mail and compact the sent items and other folder that seem crowded. If this doesn't help, you should think about changing the size of your virtual memory/paging file (either increasing it or letting Windows handle its size). You can do this at Control Panel / System / Advanced / Performance.
