I have the upgrade disc for Win 2k, and have had it for a while now, but it looks like I lost the product key. I need it to use the software I bought completely legitimately (though I've got no idea whether I should prove this to you, or how), and I don't know how to get it. Maybe it can be somehow extracted of the disc itself? Any assistance is appreciated…

AFAIK, there's no way to get the product key from the CD itself. However, if you still have the installation on your HD, you can extract the key form the registry, and here's how: Go to the start menu, and click "Run". Enter "regedit". Now browse to the following address: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion. Once you're there, you should see "product key" listed to the right. Just double-click and copy the value.
