I've had a system crash, and as one of the consequences, I lost all Firefox bookmarks, and even profile info (stuck with default). To restore these, I've searched through the C:\Program Files\Mozilla folder for profile and bookmark info, but no luck so far. Could Firefox be storing the files somewhere else (though I don't see how that would make sense)? Or is it that I don't recognize them? Or did it just delete them and I'm screwed?

Of the top of my head, the folder you need is something like: C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles. Firefox, like many other applications under XP, stores the profile info in "application data" instead of the program's installation folder. Also, in one of the subfolders of that one, you should be able to find "bookmarks.html", which contains your bookmarks (well, obviously).
