Loss of sounds at startup and in MSN Messenger

Something very strange happened to my computer. I have the Loss of sounds at startup and in MSN Messenger. Why thing like that has happened? I didnt do anything with my computer. I dont have much experience with this things. So, any advice and suggestion is more than welcomed. Thank you in advance.

I dont know what to tell you. Every strange event on your computer gives you a right to worry. I know that I worry if something like that happens to me. But one thing dont understand. You dont have sound on a startup, and in MSN Messenger? Maybe you turned of that option. You can turn of sounds on startup and in MSN Messenger. Are you sure that someone else didnt work on your computer. I know that my brother made me similar problem. And instead to tell me he was acting like he didnt know what happened. I was really mad on him after that.
