Hello. How can I force child domains to find global catalogs? I have three of them that worked few weeks before. But, the last time I tried all domains were blind somehow. So I went to the each child domain setting from the Administrative tools I have expanded them all and enabled them with the NTDS settings for the global catalog. There was an option. It is working now, but I wonder is this what I did temporal setting? It works but I cannot log on to any of the child domains, now! Is there something else to do, I don’t want any other issue again. Thanks in advance.

Hi there. Why don’t you check the Flexible Single Master Operations roles or otherwise called (FSMO). Sometimes it happens that the roles can switch themselves around and therefore problem appears just like in your case. Check that your Infrastructure master role is not on the Global Catalog Server. I hope you knew that.
