| I'm considering finally giving Linux a try, but I'm sort of confused. It's like there are dozens of versions of the same OS, with minor differences… or maybe not so minor? Some are free, some aren't, and they all come with different software packages, apparently! Like I said, I'm kind of lost here. Could someone recommend a solid, but not too complicated, version of Linux for me to use? |

| Well, there's no easy answer here, sorry. In case you're a repentant Windows user and have no prior experience with Linux, you should consider a distribution like Xandros or SuSE. If you're not afraid of a challenge, and are looking for server management options, maybe Ubuntu would be your cup of tea.
