Hello. I want to try to make Linux boot up rescue disk from windows XP. I heard this is something similar like Windows XP rescue disk, but with even more useful features. How to do it? What do I need to download and which commands I should use in order to do that properly? Thanks in advance.

Hello. There is no need to build your own, because you can download already created image file for boot up. But. If you are willing to try, than do the following. Insert the Linux CD in your drive. Old Red Hat for example. Format a blank floppy drive and leave it inside. Inside the Windows, type command. Than type D: to navigate to your CD/DVD drive. Type cd\dosutils. That will lead you to D:\DOSUTILS\ . After that you should type rawrite. After the given option type d:\images\boot.img. Than select the target floppy drive letter. Usually A:\. With this, you have finished your job.
