| I have heard that with router I can better protect my computer. Friend told me that I can block some ports and be more protected. he, also, told that I won't need anymore antivirus, antispyware and such kind of programs, cause I'll be protected. I have Linksys router. Anybody knows what ports I should block and what not? |

| I have to tell you that router is not firewall, antisyware or antivirus (you still need these programs on your computer). You should block all ports except: HTTP port, pop3 and smtp port, FTP port. Im not sure about numbers of these ports. I think that HTTP is 80, pop3 is 110, smtp 25 or 23 (cant remember) and really dont know for FTP. Any way, check with someone else numbers of the ports.
