I heard about this ‘lindows’ somewhere and figured out myself that it was some kind of combination between linux and windows( I know, it’s not really that hard to figure it). But I don’t know anything else about it and I would really like to since I’ve heard that Linux is way better than Windows but more complicated so I’ve never tried it. Could anyone here give me more info on this?

Lindows is nowadays more often called Linspire. The first version was released in 2001. and it was a stable os like Linux but it was much easier to use, especially for people who were used to Windows. Anyway, it was highly criticized because of it’s high price and many people thought it was just a slightly modified version of Debian. There’s been a lot of versions since then and in August 2006 Freespire 1.0 the first free version of Lindows/Linspire was released. For more info go to pire.com .
