The printer worked OK until it reported an empty cartridge for the first time. After I replaced it, it won't work! It still says "cartridge empty", even though I just put in a brand new one! It's a Lexmark brand cartridge, and I made sure it fits like it's supposed to, but still nothing. Help? Please?

If you're 100 certain that the cartridge is healthy and seated properly, than all you can try is resetting the printer. See, sometimes it keeps the previous status ("cartridge empty" in this case) in memory longer than it's supposed to. Power it off and press and hold the reset button for 10-20 seconds, then power it back on.
