Hello. Weird things started to happen with my Toshiba Satellite. I have Accupoint II Touchpad, and when I am idle, doing nothing, the pointer goes itself to the upper left corner of the screen! Ghosts? I never saw any similar issues so far on any other notebook, I must admit. I have heard that it should recalibrate itself occasionally, but really had no idea this would happen all the time!

This seems like your keyboard is gone forever. I had a similar problem with one Satellite model few years ago, and the problem went away immediately. You can choose whether you want to replace the keyboard or to plug PS/2 or external USB keyboard. The same circuitry for both input devices are contained within keyboard. That's how Toshiba is doing it. Now you know the secret. There are no ghosts.
