| It just sits there when I press power. The little light on the side lights up, though, but the screen stays black, and nothing seems to be happening, no system sounds, no nothing. I think I can hear the fans spinning form the inside, though, but I'm not really a 100 on that. Any help? TIA |

| You'll have to give us more to go on than just that. When did the problem first occur? Was the dropped or otherwise physically damaged? If so, it could be that just the screen went dead, and that it boots up OK without you noticing it. Well, I say "just" the screen, but its usually quite expensive to replace it, easier just to buy a new laptop. |
