I have a HP laptop and problem with overheating. Namely, my laptop is very often freezes and I need to power it off and wait some time to turn it on and continue with work. When I contacted HP tech support, they told me that they will send me AC Adapter, because they think I have a problem with it. Are they right?

I do not know what to tell you, because you did not give me more information. I know just that your HP laptop is freezes. Well, if your AC Adapter is to hot when you have overheating problem, then guys from HP technical support are probably right. But if that it is not case, I think that you need a new cooler, not AC Adapter.
