LG CDROM CRD-8483B drivers

I cannot make my Gateway E-4300 work. Driver properties says it’s LG CD-ROM CRD-8483B but I have a yellow question mark beside it in the ‘Device manager’. The message I get says that Windows cannot load the drivers since they’re missing or corrupt. It all started when I installed the Easy CD Creator but I’ve uninstalled it now and my CD still won’t work. Could anyone offer me some help with this? Should I perhaps update the drivers via internet?

Easy CD creator caused this problem since your CD device is not a writer. Why did you even install it in the first place? Now you’ll have to make some changes to your registry so that the Easy CD would be completely removed from your system. Run regedit and find this value: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
You should delete this key both in the UpperFilters and LowerFilters. Reboot your machine and then it should be alright.
