Hi there. I have three computers in my small home network. They are connected over router and everything works fine. I would like to add another computer that will serve just as a storage computer. It is old computer and its LAN card is 10MB (if I remember correctly) while other computers have 100MB LAN cards. Will this LAN card speed affect overall network performance?

Hello. When you have network cards with different speeds in your network then overall network performance will be equal to the slowest network card. So, overall network performance will be affected if you install this computer with 10MB LAN card. This is not too important if you do not transfer large files often between computers. I hope this is the answer on your question.
