My Kazza version is 3.2 and its installed without any of those fancy features like dsdirect. So one day, I was downloading some music when speed dropped to 12 Kb. I thought OK, not a big deal, it will recover soon. But its still like this. What have I done wrong, I dont like to mess up with its settings. I think that it has something to do with firewall. Is there a connection between file transfer speed and protection? How to recover my speed, it is a cable connection just to know?

| A firewall cannot slow it down directly. If you set it up with UDP settings, the its ok. If not, check out the hub option, and reconnect to server. What about your cable settings? Are you using direct hub switch or Kazza Media Desktop. I recommend you Kazza because as strangely as it seems at first it has way better features. Like, if you find a distant peer you wont be able to use full networks capacity. So stick to Kazzas default settings and try not to download more then 40 Gb monthly. I hope youre not some freak, who need 40 Gb monthly, man. The more protected you are, the worse your speed gets. When youre in the zone, downloading, always look for the files with 5-50 peers. You will get it faster. Being able to synchronize your data opens different possibilities. Media desktop can be less covered, or Kazza would get more effective. |
