I have a problem with the second hand ASUS K8V SE Deluxe mobo I bought a few days ago. All the other components (AMD Sempron 3100+, Kingston PC3200 512MB, Albatron geFORCE FX5200, Western Digital WD800JB) are working OK with the other mobo I have. But when I connect them to this mobo, the boot lasts more than three minutes. What do you think could be the problem?

I have two simple ideas for you now: check the ide cables and try resetting the CMOS. Oh, I just remembered this: Having some USB devices attached can often lead to slow boots. Try unplugging them if you have any and see if it helps. If I come up with anything else, I’ll write it here ASAP.
