| Open your computer and, check did you well connect all the needed cables (signal and power). If you do, then try to reconnect your new drive to another S-ATA connector on your mobo. If that fails, check does your mobo supports your type of S-ATA hard. Your hard drive may be S-ATA 2 and your mobo may support only S-ATA 1 drives. If that is the problem, then the only thing you could do is to replace your S-ATA 2 drive for some S-ATA 1 drive. Do not forget to check in your BIOS is your mobo S-ATA support enabled. At last, also check in your manual do your motherboard needs some drivers to be installed. If nothing of this helps, then I am almost certain that your new S-ATA drive is damaged. |
