My AV (Norton) is reporting that a file called jpinscp.dll is "suspicious"… so I had it quarantined. However, I don't know if I did the right thing, because I think (I'm not sure) that some stability issues with Outlook appeared right after I did that. Is there any way to confirm if this .dll file is indeed a virus or trojan, or that it is legit? TIA.

You can usually just google out the name of the file, and find a definition page that resolves your dilemma, but … In the specific case of that file, you can't identify it by name. To make sure, you might want to check out programchecker.com. But in any case, if Norton detected it, I'd put my money on "corrupt"
