I get a notebook as a present for my birthday. Everything worked fine until I tried to connect to the Internet. I am connecting on wireless Internet and I have wireless network card in my notebook. However, whenever I tried to connect my Linksys 54g won't connect. What is the problem? Is this, maybe, a bad network card?

There are few possible reasons that may cause a problem like yours. Check the drivers for your lan card in your Control panel. Then check the intensity of your signal. If it is low, try to move your notebook on some other locations inside the house to see can you get a better signal. Don't forget to call your Internet provider and see doesn't they, maybe, have some temporary problems. They also have great experience so do not hesitate to ask them for help. Anyway, I don't think you should change your network card because it is not worse then others. If nothing of that helps, you will have to ask for some professional help.
